Description
This job posting is for a Teya contract at Ft. Belvoir, VA and is primarily for the purposes of contact incumbent onboarding. Current employees of BASOPS Contract at Ft. Belvoir, VA are encouraged to apply; all hiring and onboarding is done electronically.

Position Description:
Maintenance Trade Helper assists one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades by performing specific or general duties of lesser skill. The kind of work the helper is permitted to perform varies from trade to trade. In some trades the helper is confined to supplying, lifting, and holding materials and tools, and cleaning working areas and in others, the worker is permitted to perform specialized machine operations, or parts of a trade that are also performed by workers on a full-time basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Keeps a worker supplied with materials and tools.
  • Cleaning working area, machine, and equipment.
  • Assisting journeyman by holding materials or tools.
  • Performing other unskilled tasks as directed by journeyman.
  • Performs all duties in conformance with company safety policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.   • Experience in O&M to include support of a work force that is responsible for O&M and repair of all facility systems, subsystems, and selected equipment typically found in a Base Operating Services contract.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to pass a company drug screen and background check. Must possess a valid state driver's license and insurable driving record.
