Job description

District Electrical Services has an excellent opportunity for an Electrician Helper to join our team. This role will work directly alongside an electrician, providing hands-on support with electrical installation, maintenance, and repair projects throughout the WC Smith portfolio. The Helper will assist with preparing materials, handling tools and equipment, pulling wire, and completing other electrical-related tasks under the direction of an experienced electrician.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

The Electrician Helper Will:

• Work directly with and assist an electrician on electrical installation, maintenance, and repair projects.
• Assist with pulling wire and cable and preparing materials for electrical installations.
• Assist with the installation and replacement of outlets, switches, light fixtures, and other electrical components under the direction of an electrician.
• Gather, transport, organize, and prepare electrical tools, materials, and equipment needed for projects.
• Assist with measuring, cutting, and preparing materials as directed.
• Set up and prepare work areas for electrical projects.
• Follow instructions from the electrician and complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain tools, materials, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment between job sites.
• Follow all company safety policies and electrical safety procedures.
• Perform other electrical support duties as assigned.

A Leading Applicant Has:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous electrical, construction, maintenance, or other hands-on trade experience preferred.
• Interest in electrical work and willingness to learn the trade.
• Basic familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively alongside an experienced electrician.
