What You'll Do

As a Seasonal Tractor Driver at LA Haunted Hayride, you're the captain of the experience—safely transporting guests through one of Los Angeles' most beloved Halloween attractions. Your skill, composure, and professionalism directly shape the safety and excitement of every ride.

Guest Transport & Operations

  • Safely operate a tractor and hayride trailer to transport guests along the designated haunted hayride route throughout each event night

  • Maintain consistent pacing and route adherence to support attraction flow and maximize guest throughput

  • Communicate with operations staff via radio to coordinate loading, unloading, and on-route timing

Safety & Vehicle Operation

  • Conduct pre-shift vehicle inspections to confirm the tractor, trailer, hitch, and safety equipment are in proper working condition before each operating night

  • Enforce guest safety protocols at all times, including load limits, seated-passenger rules, and emergency procedures

  • Immediately report any mechanical concerns, incidents, or hazards to the operations manager

Guest Experience

  • Create a welcoming, high-energy atmosphere for guests boarding and riding the hayride

  • Remain calm and professional in high-volume, high-stimulation environments—this is a haunted attraction, after all

  • Coordinate with actors, production, and queue staff to maintain smooth, immersive operations

What You Bring
  • Verifiable prior experience operating a tractor and trailer is required—please be prepared to provide references or documentation confirming your experience at time of application or interview

  • Confident, safe driver with a strong understanding of vehicle handling, spatial awareness, and load management

  • Ability to remain focused and composed while operating around crowds, theatrical effects, and low-visibility nighttime conditions

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with a large production team

  • Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions throughout the full season

  • Reliable and consistent attendance throughout the full season—evenings and weekends required

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Valid driver's license required; a clean driving record is preferred
