Job Description Summary

Operate Pea Harvest equipment and/or tractor. The position is seasonal. Late May to mid-July

Job Description

  • Operates harvesters, tractors and tractor-drawn machinery for all phases of harvesting operations.

  • Fills out work sheets as needed.

  • Cleans and maintains equipment per Lamb Weston Food Safety Policy

  • Performs routine duties with minimal supervision.

  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to Supervisor and/or Human Resources

  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Education/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred)

  • Valid state issued Driver License

Skills and Experience:

  • Basic verbal communication skills

  • No experience required.

Physical Environment/Demands:

  • Some travel may be required (75% of time if significant)

  • Incumbents may sit for long periods of time in a pea combine.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

  • Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.

  • Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature.

  • Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures.

  • Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.

  • Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Valid Driver's License and driving record that meets Lamb Weston Driving Standards
