MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER - $22/hour Hiring Immediately!

Job Description

This role offers the opportunity to join and help build a growing, company by performing tear down and assembly of heavy-duty electric trucks in a fast-paced production environment. You will use your mechanical aptitude, experience with automotive or electrical assembly, and ability to read engineering drawings to build high-quality products while following safety and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tear down and assembly of heavy-duty electric trucks by following detailed work instructions and engineering drawings.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and other mechanical equipment to assemble and disassemble components accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure the consistent implementation of quality and safety procedures throughout all tasks.
  • Identify defects in product or workmanship and take corrective actions to resolve issues promptly.
  • Inspect work to confirm it meets specifications and quality standards before moving to the next step.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and resolve issues.
  • Participate in required training and comply with all safety and operational policies and procedures.
  • Train on first shift as required, regardless of assigned permanent shift.

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience in automotive or electrical assembly line work, such as semi tractors, heavy equipment, farm equipment, or terminal trucks.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with complex mechanical and electrical assemblies.

Work Environment & pay

The schedule runs from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, requiring comfort with extended hours and regular overtime. Dress is typical of a production environment, with appropriate work attire and personal protective equipment as required by safety policies. Pay is $22/hr.
