Job description

This position requires the ability to perform multiple golf course outside operations tasks. Outside Services Attendants are required to offer a high level of customer service and maintain a clean and safe environment. This includes maintaining all outside areas such as hitting bays, driving range, practice areas, and the golf cart fleet.

This position demands a flexible schedule, including working weekends and holidays. Essential Function Duties and Responsibilities Provides outstanding service to each customer. Greets customers in a polite and courteous manner.

Providing information on golf course rules, regulations, fees, policies, and procedures. Welcomes guests to the golf course; assists with their golf bags and arranges players in proper starting order to help maintain the pace of play on the course. Clean the golf carts after each golf round and detail carts daily as needed.

Assist with special events and golf tournament setup and breakdown. Issue and ensure the return of rental clubs. Assists with course maintenance by fixing divots and ball marks, replacing course stakes, and ridding the course of litter.

Move bag stands, sand containers, water coolers, trash cans, and signage as needed. Refill ball machine as needed ensuring an adequate number of range balls and baskets are available for use. Maintain the practice putting area, chipping green, driving range, and hitting bays by clearing any balls, baskets, and debris throughout the day.

Cleaning surfaces and emptying trash containers as needed. Assist customers with setting up and using the Trackman Golf Simulator, troubleshooting as needed. Transition customers from grass to hitting bays and mats when needed.

Monitor the range to ensure there is no outside instruction being conducted. Make scheduled picks of the driving range. This includes washing, transporting, filing ball machines, and special retrieval of range balls (unplugging and hand-picking).

Drive the picker cart and any golf carts responsibly and in accordance with the training provided. Responds to all customer concerns, questions, and complaints in a positive, respectful, and courteous manner and report these comments to the immediate supervisor. Accurately document any incidents that may occur.

Assists with explaining and enforcing golf course rules and regulations and explaining processes such as operating the range ball machine, golf cart GPS functions, and operating the solo rider cart. Troubleshooting any issues as they arise. Ensure that safety standards, restrictions, and conditions are followed.

Maintains constant communication between other outside services and golf shop team members to notify them of slow play and any other concerns. Communicate professionally when using handheld radios. Establishes and maintains positive working relationships and cooperation with golf course staff, management, and customers to provide an excellent customer experience.

Maintains all records in accordance with the Records Retention Law. Follows and implements all policies and procedures as described in the Palm Beach Gardens Golf Course Manual, the Community Services Division procedures, and the City of Palm Beach Gardens Policies and Procedures. Acts as an ambassador of Sandhill Crane Golf Club and the City of Palm Beach Gardens both on and off the clock.

Performs any other related duties as required or assigned. Minimum Qualifications General knowledge of the methods, materials, and practices used in golf course operations. Ability to prepare reports and keep records.

Ability to operate a golf cart and other related equipment. Special Qualifications/Preferences Valid State of Florida Driver's License with a good driving record required.
