Job Title: Business Analyst
Job Location: Salem, OR (Hybrid)
Job Type: Contract


Job Description
  • Support DOJ modernization initiatives by gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, document reviews, and research to understand business needs.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into process diagrams, user stories, business rules, and functional requirements.
  • Develop and maintain current-state and future-state process maps, SOPs, requirements documents, and system documentation.
  • Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare UAT test cases, participate in testing, document results, and communicate issues for resolution.
  • Support implementation activities and develop end-user training materials.
  • Participate in train-the-trainer sessions and gather user feedback to support adoption and process improvement.
  • Collaborate with program staff, senior analysts, technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with solution assessment and communicate technical concepts to business users.
  • Support project and change management activities, including workshops and consensus building.

Requirement
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst supporting enterprise or large-scale modernization initiatives.
  • Strong experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
  • Experience creating process maps, user stories, business rules, SOPs, and functional documentation.
  • Experience with UAT testing, test case preparation, and validation.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with relational or cloud-based data platforms is preferred.
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and security practices is a plus.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences.
  • Experience with project/change management is preferred.
