SUMMARY: The Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of products to customers, accomplished through thorough planning, ensuring the completion of their duties, and ensuring that drivers take safety precautions when completing their assignments and performing related tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Safe operation of the truck to deliver goods to the customer's place of business and bring return loads to TR Toppers.
  • Ensure that goods are transported and delivered in accordance with TR Toppers and industry requirements.
  • Manage bills of lading and other necessary paperwork at shipping and receiving locations as required.
  • Occasionally, break down and restack pallets.
  • Use an electronic log and collect receipts while on the road.
  • Interact with customers in a highly professional and positive manner.
  • Clean the interior of the truck and perform routine maintenance checks on it.
  • Ensure injury or accident is reported immediately.
  • Represents TR Toppers Inc. in a professional and dignified manner at all times
  • Performs other duties assigned or required.

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid CDL "A" License
  • Two years of OTR experience
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • You must have a good driving record.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of road safety regulations.

NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Able and willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check, DOT drug screen, and motor vehicle check.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
  • 60 per mile
  • $50 drop pay.
  • Safety bonus paid quarterly.
  • Year-end bonus
  • 11 Paid holidays.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO).
  • Paid Sick Leave (PSL).
  • All equipment is 2021 or newer Kenworth T-680 sleeper trucks with APU.
  • Haul TR Toppers products to our customers in a 500-mile to 1500-mile radius. We get our drivers home every week!

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and DOT regulations, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as add, substrate, multiple, and divide.
REASONING ABILITY: Must demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, hot/cold weather conditions, and loud to moderate noise.
