Overview:
Forklift Driver/Operator needs to be able to operator powered industrial machinery with ease. Company and department rely on the accurate and efficient distribution of product. Communicate with various departments and Distro Management in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Functions:
  • Operate a variety of forklifts. Pick, pack, check, and loads products accurately on/off and to/from designated areas in the facility. Loading, unloading, locating, moving, stacking, shipping, tacking products and receiving warehouse items.
  • Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency and checks that loads are centered and properly stacked. Securing loads to forklift before transportation. Stretch wrapping of all outbound pallets.
  • Managing inventory by utilizing scanning equipment - QC of all pallets. Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
  • Receiving/Putaway: Unload merchandise from trailers or help manually unload floor loaded containers.
  • Assist with receiving merchandise using android device, restacking pallets as necessary.
  • Work as a team to load and unload materials
  • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular inspections
  • Safe operation of all lift truck(s) equipment procedures. Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to safety standards, and follows safety rules, plus good departmental housekeeping.
  • Able to understand computer applications and scanning procedures.
  • Meets performance standards for production and quality assurance, plus adhering to production schedules, stay motivated to accomplish tasks timely and efficiently.
  • Cross training to assist in other areas of department or distribution center. Willing to take on new job responsibilities. Plus other duties as assigned
  • Peak/Seasonal needs for overtime with evening and weekend availability. Must have flexibility to earlier start times and work extended hours as needed

Requirements
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous warehouse experience and previous experience as forklift operator
  • Excellent physical condition and coordination. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Completion of forklift driving course, and OSHA training is a plus
  • Must be able to work at elevated heights in non-climate control environment and lift up to 60lbs unassisted
  • Must pass drug screen
  • Great organizational skills, attention to detail and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills both -written and verbal
  • Ability to read and understand packaging, shipping documents, and safety guidelines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination peripheral vision
