Job description

Toyota Racing Development (TRD) is seeking a highly motivated Deburr Technician to join our team.We are dedicated to advancing automotive engineering and maximizing racetrack performance, andthis role supports our mission of becoming the most respected motorsports engineering organization. This is a 12-month contract position based on-site at TRD's Costa Mesa, CA facility. Work hours are 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of machined parts to ensure they meet engineering specifications.

• Deburr TRD parts as defined by Engineering and Manufacturing Team Leaders, ensuring proper deburring to spec without related damage or error.

• Execute deburring to schedule as defined by WIP, the manufacturing production schedule, and Manufacturing Operations Team Leaders and Managers.

• Prioritize workload to meet all required deadlines and production targets.

• Take ownership of attention to detail and quality throughout all work performed.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.

• Cooperate effectively across departments to support overall manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

A successful candidate will have:

• Minimum five years of experience

• Hands-on engine part deburr experience and strong fine motor skills.

• Strong mechanical skills with the ability to proficiently use and understand all related deburring tools and equipment.

• Interpersonal skills including strong listening, open-mindedness, teamwork, and communication skills necessary to facilitate effective cooperation between associates and departments.

• Basic written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Proficiency in MS Office products, including Excel and Word.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised and consistently meet deadlines.

• Patience and diligence to achieve the highest quality results possible.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push and pull up to 30 lbs of force.

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs above shoulders.

This is an on-site role based at TRD's Costa Mesa, CA facility.
