Key Holder

We are looking for a highly-motivated individual who genuinely loves working with people to join the team at our prototype Wonder World store in the Barton Creek Mall in Austin, TX.

As a Key Holder, you are a member of the Store Leadership Team and must embody what Wonder World stands for and be passionate about providing a positive, memorable experience for all Wonder World Customers and Associates.

Responsibilities of a Key Holder include, but are not limited to:

Creating an Animated, Appealing Environment

  • Lead by example in modeling energetic and engaging Customer service behaviors 
  • Demonstrating teamwork 
  • Embracing new products and selling techniques with a positive attitude
  • Coaching peers in anticipating customer needs, encouraging purchase and in creating a store atmosphere that is fun!
  • Flawlessly executing merchandising standards and marketing events

Providing Leadership

  • Supporting the Store Manager in building and maintaining a store culture of continuous growth by holding yourself accountable for demonstrating Customer-centric selling behaviors and for individual sales contributions 
  • Building team morale by celebrating successes
  • Partner in new-hire onboarding and in ensuring all team members have the information they need to create a fun in-store experience
  • Ensure day-to-day operations including opening/closing store protocols are completed to Wonder World standard

Analyzing the Business

  • Understanding how to assess KPIs and link them to behaviors to make real-time decisions r.e. coaching others 
  • Quantitatively link the consistent delivery of the Customer experience to the achievement of sales goals
  • Clearly and concisely share learnings with Home Office partners, always communicating with a solution-oriented mindset:
  • Customer insights regarding product assortment
  • Constructive feedback regarding in-store Events and/or visual merchandising/ product presentation 

Running a Safe, Profitable and Entertaining Store

  • Ensuring all team members remain updated on company policies and store promotions and are competent in maximizing resources to improve Customer and Associate experiences  
  • Consistently protect company assets through:
  • Loss Prevention training and maintaining Loss Prevention protocols 
  • Maintaining safety standards
  • Following company policies
  • Managing store supply inventory

Requirements

Qualification/ Basic Job Requirements:

  • Genuine care for customers and a sense of curiosity to learn about their needs
  • Enthusiasm for working in a fun environment and an overall sense of playfulness
  • Preferred professional experience:
  • Retail, Hospitality or Event execution
  • Primary or Secondary Education Teaching
  • Camp Counselling
  • Knowledge in retail operations, sales, customer service, and merchandising is a plus 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including but not limited to holidays, nights, and weekends
  • Ability to manage a sales floor by delegating tasks effectively, ensuring the sales floor remains appropriately stocked and visually merchandised stocked, Associates are Customer-focused and store atmosphere is reflective of Wonder World
