Job Purpose

In your role as a Heavy Equiptment Operator, you will haul waste within our transfer station using various machinery.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Safely operates heavy machinery to load waste at transfer station
  • Handles and moves material
  • Assists with keeping tunnel clean
  • Maintains machinery and reports mechanical problems immediately
  • Performs tasks maintaining all health, safety and environmental rules and ensures all work is done in a manner which enhances the safety of the work environment
  • Communicates issues and concerns with Site Manager as needed
  • Works in a team environment and assists co-workers with other duties as required

The successful candidate profile includes:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience with driving a Bulldozer, Excavator and Loader
  • Experience in the waste management industry preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to work 10-12 hours per day, Monday-Saturday
