General Statement of Duties Provides administrative support in the coordination of special education meetings. There is one full-time opening in this title, and several part-time openings in this title. Please indicate your preference in response to supplemental question number four.

Qualifications Education and Experience: A High School diploma; plus two (2) years of clerical experience, in a computerized environment. Qualifications: Demonstrated knowledge of office practices and procedures. Proven technology skills including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. Proven ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information.

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with building and District administrators, colleagues, parents, community members and public officials. Exam Plan: 100% Written Examination Pass/Fail Computer Skills Test Job Description Department: Board of Education Bargaining Status: GMEA Salary Range: E FLSA: Non-Exempt Reports to: Designated Building Administrator Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinates the scheduling of special education meetings and notifies appropriate attendees about meeting logistics. Updates administrators and meeting attendees as to relevant changes regarding meeting logistics.

Prepares routine correspondence. Creates and updates documents and records. Assists families and appropriate public entities with inquiries related to special education meetings.

Performs data entry. Reviews student records (both hard-copy files and digital files) for completeness of entry. Maintains confidential records, files, and sensitive information in accordance with District policies and applicable laws.

Supports Town policies and philosophies. Performs other related duties as assigned. Supplemental Information All positions may be subject to an interview process.

The Town reserves the right to limit the number of qualified candidates who will be invited to participate in the recruitment, or any part thereof. All outside candidates will be required to undertake and successfully pass a pre-employment medical examination, which includes a substance abuse test that includes testing for THC (the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana), given at the Town's expense prior to employment if conditionally offered a part time, full time or safety sensitive position. The Town of Greenwich has implemented a policy of background investigations all full and part time positions prior to hiring as part of the reference checking procedures for outside candidates.

The investigation will only be conducted as the last step prior to an offer. Refusal to sign the release form will terminate the candidate's further consideration.
