Job description

Job Summary

Looking for a F/T driver to fill current demand, CDL B License required

Responsibilities and Duties

Driver is responsible for transporting fabricated material, machine or other steel supply to local customers on same day deliveries. Must be able to secure loads to truck for transport. Will need to be able to safely navigate through city streets to reach clients and also be able to safely navigate through different loading platforms and docks. Drivers will be responsible for completing delivery tickets at each stop along with a record of time logs to identify the length of job for deliver. Upon daily completion of duties, drivers are responsible for daily maintenance checks for trucks to inform management of any preventative and current maintenance issues.

Qualifications and Skills

Previous experience as bus driver, tow truck, cargo delivery or tractor trailer. Must have experience with strapping and securing cargo. Experience using chains and binders a plus. Must have clean driving record, will be subject to background check.
