Job Highlights:
Job Title: Baseball Attendant
Location: Wixom, MI
Reports To: Lead Baseball Instructor
Employment Type: Part-Time, Seasonal
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Baseball Attendant to support tournament operations, facility maintenance, and overall guest experience at TOCA. This role plays an important part in ensuring games run smoothly, fields are maintained to high standards, and guests have a safe and enjoyable experience.
Your Game Plan:
On the Field: Game amp; Tournament Operations (50%)
  • Assist with tournament and game operations, ensuring events run on schedule
  • Collect gate fees and support front-of-house event logistics
  • Input scores, schedules, and updates using Tourney Machine / Daysmart
  • Coordinate with umpires regarding game balls, scores, and timing
  • Turn field lights on and off as needed
  • Adjust pitching mounds and bases as required

Facility MVP: Field amp; Grounds Maintenance (40%)
  • Set up and take down home run fencing
  • Groom and maintain fields before, during, and after play
  • Remove trash, debris, rocks, and weeds from fields and surrounding areas
  • Perform minor repairs to fencing and hitting cages
  • Support general upkeep of facility property to ensure a clean and safe environment

Team Player: Guest Experience amp; Support (10%)
  • Provide friendly and professional interaction with players, families, umpires, and teammates
  • Assist with resolving minor issues in a calm and professional manner
  • Support leadership in maintaining a positive and welcoming TOCA environment

What You Bring to the Pitch
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems quickly
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to kneel, bend, reach, climb, and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies of 35+ lbs

Preferred:
  • Prior experience working in sports facilities, tournaments, or event operations
  • Basic knowledge of baseball field maintenance
  • Familiarity with scheduling or scoring platforms
