What is tourism graphic design?

Tourism graphic design is a specialized field of graphic design focused on creating visual materials that promote travel destinations, attractions, and experiences. Designers in this field craft brochures, posters, websites, social media content, and branding elements to attract and inform tourists. Their work combines creativity with marketing strategies to effectively communicate a location's unique appeal and encourage travel. Successful tourism graphic design not only conveys information but also evokes emotion and inspires potential travelers to explore new places.

How does a tourism graphic designer typically collaborate with marketing teams and other stakeholders when developing promotional materials?

Tourism Graphic Designers frequently work closely with marketing teams, copywriters, and tourism managers to ensure that promotional materials align with the overall branding and communication goals. They participate in brainstorming sessions, gather feedback through multiple review cycles, and often adjust their designs to reflect input from various stakeholders. This collaborative process not only helps maintain consistency across brochures, digital ads, and social media graphics but also deepens the designer's understanding of target audiences and campaign objectives. Strong communication and project management skills are essential for navigating these collaborative efforts smoothly.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a tourism graphic designer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Tourism Graphic Designer, you need expertise in visual communication, branding, and layout design, typically supported by a degree in graphic design or a related field. Proficiency with industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is essential, and a strong portfolio is often required. Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with marketing teams are standout soft skills. These abilities are crucial for creating visually compelling materials that effectively promote destinations and engage potential travelers.

About Liquid Graphics: Bring Brands to Life

At Liquid Graphics, we aren't just in the business of manufacturing apparel; we are the engine behind some of the worldโ€™s most recognizable brands. As one of the largest and most highly respected custom apparel manufacturers and screen printers in the nation, our state-of-the-art Southern California facility houses the best talent and technology in the industry. From concept and design to high-volume screen printing, embroidery, cut-and-sew, and global fulfillment, we handle it all under one roof.

We are innovators, problem-solvers, and creators who thrive in a fast-paced environment. If you want to sell a premium product backed by unmatched production capabilities, unmatched quality, and a team that always delivers, Liquid Graphics is your new home.

The Role

We are looking for a dynamic, highly driven Outside Sales Representative to spearhead our expansion into exciting new verticals. While we have deep roots in action sports, entertainment, streetwear, and corporate merchandise, we are aggressively targeting the Food & Beverage, Travel, Hospitality, Corporate and Tourism sectors.

In this role, you will be the tip of the spearโ€”identifying massive opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers, and showing world-class resorts, restaurant groups, and travel brands how Liquid Graphics can elevate their merchandise, uniforms, and retail offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Actively prospect, hunt, and close new B2B accounts within the Food & Beverage, Travel, Hospitality, corporate and Tourism industries.
  • Territory Management: Manage a targeted pipeline of prospects across the Southern California region and beyond, conducting frequent in-person meetings, facility tours, and presentations.
  • Consultative Selling: Understand the unique merchandising, uniform, and retail needs of clients in these new verticals, providing tailored, high-ROI apparel solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with our internal design, production, and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution from initial pitch to final delivery.
  • Market Strategy: Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor movements to position Liquid Graphics as the premier apparel partner for these emerging markets.
  • Revenue Growth: Meet and exceed aggressive sales targets and KPIs, significantly expanding our footprint outside of our legacy channels.

Qualifications

  • Location: Must reside locally in the Los Angeles or Orange County, CA area with the ability to travel throughout the territory.
  •  Experience: 7+ years of proven outside sales experience, with a track record of crushing quotas and generating net-new business.
  • Industry Expertise: Direct experience in manufactured apparel sales (custom merchandising, cut-and-sew, screen printing, or uniform programs) is strictly required.
  • Network: An existing book of business or a strong network within the F&B, hospitality, travel, corporate, or tourism sectors is a massive plus.
  • Skills: * Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.

-Ability to navigate complex sales cycles with large organizations and enterprise-level clients.

-Self-starter mentality with the discipline to manage a remote/field-based schedule.

-Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track pipeline and metrics.

What We Offer

  • Aggressive Compensation: Competitive base salary + uncapped commission structure tailored for top performers.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Tools for Success: Car allowance/mileage reimbursement, company laptop, and mobile phone allowance.
  • The Best Product: The confidence of selling a world-class manufacturing operation that delivers on its promises.
