Job description

Job Summary:
The Admissions Department at the University of Nebraska Kearney is now accepting applications for a Campus Visit Coordinator. Ability to mentor and inspire student tour guides, fostering an environment that celebrates UNK pride and professionalism. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences, including students, parents, educators, and community partners. Excellent planning, scheduling, and multitasking abilities to manage multiple visit formats, team schedules, and communication campaigns seamlessly. Comfortable with data analysis and assessment. Able to interpret visitor feedback, identify trends, and make data-informed adjustments to improve visit quality and engagement.
  • Organize and oversee daily campus tours, creating a personalized experience to all prospective students and their guests. Lead planning and execution of larger group visits for schools, organizations, and community groups. Welcome visitors through personal interactions and facilitate tour kick-off.
  • Manage the onboarding and training of all current students assisting in admissions events (tour guides, panelists, etc.) on or off-campus in collaboration with other Admissions staff & campus partners. Assign duties, arrange for professional development opportunities throughout the recruitment cycle, and provide ongoing points for evaluation and assessment. Create camaraderie in the student team that fosters reliability and engagement with prospective students on their journey.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize pre-visit communication and engagement strategies. Coordinate emails and materials that introduce visitors to our campus, set expectations for their visit, and build anticipation about the Loper experience. Utilize CRM systems to manage visit registrations, track engagement, and support communication workflows. Monitor key performance indicators such as visit-to-application and visit-to-enrollment conversion rates.
  • Gather and analyze post-visit surveys and feedback to evaluate the success of campus visit programs. Track key metrics, identify areas for improvement, and provide regular reports to support recruitment efforts. Develop and implement strategies to increase campus visit attendance, yield, and conversion rate.
  • Work with the Assistant Director for Enrollment Events and academic and student affairs departments to gather engaging, up-to-date content and stories that highlight the best of the UNK experience. Ensure the information shared in presentations and during tours is accurate, relevant, and refreshed throughout the year.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
Two years' experience in event planning, customer service, sales, marketing or related areas.
Ability to independently manage multiple projects and creatively solve problems.
Experience with data management including entering, reporting and tracking data.
Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Supervisory experience.
Experience in higher education, admissions or recruitment.
Experience working within a CRM or similar customer communication data system.
