Job description

Reports to:  Regional Director of Operations

TouchPoint, Support Services, provides customer focused support services. As specialists, we perform services including healthcare housekeeping, management in laundry processing, patient transportation, and food service.  TouchPoint is a compilation of the most committed and talented individuals working in the industry today. Job Summary

The Director of Patient Services provides strategic and operational support for patient dining programs across assigned healthcare locations. This role focuses on improving processes, enhancing the patient experience, ensuring compliance with dietary and regulatory standards, and supporting the development of patient services teams. The Director partners with site leadership to drive operational excellence, standardize best practices, and strengthen patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Directors, Leaders and Patient Services Managers to improve patient dining operations, service consistency, and regulatory compliance
  • Support the implementation and optimization of patient services programs, including bedside ordering initiatives
  • Coach, train, and develop Patient Services Managers, supervisors, and frontline associates
  • Promote best practices in patient experience, food safety, dietary compliance, and operational performance
  • Serve as a resource for regulatory readiness, survey preparation, and healthcare foodservice standards
  • Monitor team performance, productivity, and documentation to ensure quality outcomes
  • Conduct patient rounding and support efforts to improve patient satisfaction
  • Collaborate effectively with patients, families, clinical partners, and operational leaders
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of food and nutrition, patient dining, or healthcare support services experience
  • Leadership, training, coaching, or operational support experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Hospitality Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Registered Dietitian (RD) preferred
  • ServSafe Certification preferred
  • Knowledge of healthcare foodservice operations, patient satisfaction, food safety, sanitation, and cost controls
  • Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with budgeting, financial management, and performance analysis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business systems
