Job description

General Summary: The main purpose of Utility and Tote Cleaner is to return used totes to a clean state so they can be used for the next shift to fill for customers. As Utility Worker this employee will perform additional tasks including general warehouse cleaning, picking up cardboard, and similar jobs.

$20/hr to start

Essential Job Functions:

  • Move totes as necessary to location for cleaning

  • Remove all stickers from the outside of totes

  • Clean outside and inside, as necessary, with cleaning supplies

  • When necessary take totes to wash them thoroughly

  • Stack totes on pallet and move them to staging area

  • Safely operate a pallet jack

  • Use safe lifting methods on items weighing up to 50lbs

  • Use shrink wrap to hand wrap pallets when completed

  • Keep work area pick up and cleaned up for safety reasons

  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Skilled in oral expressionโ€”communicating information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

  • Skilled in oral comprehension โ€”listening to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

  • Abilities: a) Manual Dexterity โ€” The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. b) Multi-limb Coordination โ€” the ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting or standing. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion. c) Near Vision โ€” The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). d) Trunk Strength โ€” The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing. e) Must be able to read English, recognize numbers, and select the appropriate product to fill orders.
