Overview

Currently, there is an opening for a mechanical assembler / inspector based in our San Jose, CA headquarters. We are seeking a self-driven individual who is committed to quality and accuracy and have a passion for providing excellent craftsmanship. You want to work hard in a team environment and be challenged. You have a customer-centric mentality and always willing to go the extra mile to meet /exceed the customer’s needs.

You are being recruited to make up a BEST IN CLASS team that will dominate the industry with its high quality, innovative products.

The employee reports to the Production Supervisor.

Job Summary

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Reads blueprints, schematics and specifications or sample parts to determine verify dimensions and tolerances of received parts and finished product, sequence of operations;

Performs mechanical assembly on production items;

Performs product inspections based on prescribed standards;

Assists in material and packaging processing;

Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications;

Confers with engineers and other production personnel to resolve machining or assembly problems.

Participate in inventory cycle counting and other inventory management activities.

Initiates Nonconforming Material Reports (NMR) for production issues

Other duties or special projects may be assigned;

Job Requirements

- High school diploma or GED; one to three months related experience and/or vocational training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Ability to read blueprints and schematics

- Technical aptitude. Experience using general hand tools. Knowledgeable in operating basic machine shop equipment, recommendable.

- Detail-oriented; with strong organizational skills; team player
