Job description

Optometrist (Bilingual Chinese/English)- Los Angeles, CA
Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $65-$80 per hour

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday OR Tuesday-Saturday (rotating every 3 months)
  • Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Caseload: Approximately 14-18 patients per day

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive and problem-focused medical eye exams across all age groups
  • Manage ocular conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and dry eye
  • Provide care for urgent/walk-in eye-related issues
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Manage referrals to ophthalmology and other subspecialties
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (OCT, visual fields, corneal topography)
  • Educate patients on preventive and healthy eye care practices

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
  • Active state Optometry License with Glaucoma Certification
  • DEA license
  • Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English (required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of medical optometry experience
  • Pediatric experience
  • Experience in dry eye management
