Job description

Corporate Recruiter – Sales Recruiting

At Ernest, we've spent more than 80 years building something we're incredibly proud of: a people-first culture where relationships matter, collaboration is valued, and employees are empowered to grow. As the largest privately owned packaging company in the United States, we know that our continued success starts with hiring exceptional people who not only have the right skills, but who also embody the values and culture that set Ernest apart.

As a Corporate Recruiter specializing in Sales Recruiting, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of our company by identifying, attracting, and hiring top sales talent across our nationwide organization. You'll serve as a trusted partner to sales leaders and hiring managers, represent Ernest throughout the candidate experience, and help ensure every new hire strengthens the collaborative, high-performing culture we've worked hard to build.

This position requires someone with a high sense of urgency who is relationship-driven, organized, and passionate about connecting exceptional sales professionals with meaningful careers. If you're energized by identifying top talent, building lasting relationships, and making a meaningful impact on an organization's growth and culture, we'd love to meet you.

Work Location

This position is primarily remote but is classified as a hybrid role. Candidates should reside within a reasonable commuting distance to our corporate office in Commerce, CA, to attend in-person training sessions and periodic office attendance as requested.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full-cycle recruiting process for outside sales positions by sourcing, screening, interviewing, and negotiating offers with qualified candidates.
  • Partner with sales leaders and hiring managers to understand hiring needs, provide recruiting guidance, and ensure a positive hiring experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Partner with Human Resources to ensure a seamless transition from offer acceptance through the pre-employment process, guiding candidates through background screening requirements while working collaboratively to meet the company's hiring objectives.
  • Arrange and schedule interviews with hiring managers.
  • Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to identify and attract high-performing sales professionals through networking, referrals, social media, professional networking platforms, and other recruiting channels.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified sales talent to support current and future hiring needs across Ernest's nationwide locations.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and requisition activity within the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure a seamless recruiting process.
  • Prepare, maintain, and regularly update recruiting reports and hiring metrics to support department objectives.
  • Follow established recruiting processes, procedures, and documentation standards while ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the hiring process.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred, but relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-cycle sales recruiting experience.
  • Experience recruiting business-to-business (B2B) sales professionals is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently and have excellent time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualified Applicants Will Be

  • Cooperative and open to learning best practices within a corporate recruiting environment.
  • Positive, outgoing, and enjoy building relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and colleagues.
  • Passionate about identifying, engaging, and recruiting high-performing sales professionals.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with changing priorities and short timelines.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining accurate information and following established processes.
  • Collaborative team players who contribute to a highly team-oriented working environment.
