The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences within the School of Medicine at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence among its faculty, staff, and student body and is seeking an accomplished physician-scientist and visionary leader to serve as the Division Director of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (REI). As UC San Diego continues to expand its clinical, research, and academic missions, the Division Director will play a pivotal role in advancing a nationally recognized program that spans reproductive endocrinology and infertility, in vitro fertilization, fertility preservation, reproductive surgery, oncofertility, polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, fibroids, and reproductive biology research.

The Division Director will serve as a key clinical and administrative leader within the department, championing excellence across the tripartite mission of patient care, research, and education. Reporting directly to the Department Chair, the selected candidate will provide strategic vision, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and support the continued growth and national prominence of the division.

This highly visible leadership role offers the opportunity to influence the future direction of reproductive medicine while mentoring and teaching faculty, fellows, residents, medical students, and emerging physician-scientists. The appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience. The series will be 50% Ladder Rank/50% In-Residence (with secured extramural funding).

Candidates must have an MD, DO, or equivalent degree.

Candidates must be board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI).

Candidates must have current clinical practice experience across the full spectrum of REI care.

Candidates must have at least five years of clinical experience in REI.

Candidates must have a strong publication record, demonstrated by at least 40 peer-reviewed publications in relevant scientific or clinical journals.

Candidates must have five years of leadership experience and five years of experience within an academic medical center.

Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.

Candidates with a record of securing extramural research funding are preferred.

Candidates with experience building collaborative research programs and mentoring faculty are preferred.

Candidates with experience driving programmatic growth and fostering innovation within an academic health system are also preferred.
