Job description

Williams & Connolly LLP, recognized as one of the world's premier litigation firms, is seeking a Senior Paralegal to join our legal team. Our depth of experienced paralegals and case managers, as well as our unique single office location, offer the stage to foster close mentoring relationships and chances for growth.
Our paralegals are essential to the case teams throughout the entire lifecycle of a case. By managing key documents, organizing case files, and staying on top of critical deadlines, you give attorneys the ability to focus on their clients - and you give yourself the chance to see, firsthand, how your attention to detail and follow-through helps shape outcomes. Successful paralegals here are those who bring a service-minded, can-do attitude to every task.
The right candidate will have the opportunity to build a career with well-respected, top professional trial teams. Under the direction of the Chief of Paralegal Services, primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Providing paralegal support to attorneys through all phases of litigation;
* Managing all case materials, including electronic files and database applications;
* Coordinating with the firm's e-filing team to obtain materials from, and file materials with, federal and local courts and agencies;
* Performing factual research;
* Tracking the course of information and case materials;
* Training and supervising the work of junior paralegals;
* Coordinating with outside vendors and service providers; and
* Assisting attorneys in preparing for depositions, trials and arbitrations, as well as ensuring that logistics, exhibits, filings and deadlines are proactively managed.
* BA/BS degree, or equivalent years of experience;
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
* At least seven years of full life cycle litigation experience, including trials;
* Professional demeanor, strong attention to detail, and high-quality work standards;
* Ability to manage large litigation cases from initiation through resolution, independently and as part of a team;
* Excellent oral and written communication skills;
* Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills;
* Ability to anticipate case needs, handle competing priorities, and adapt to changing conditions.
Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, litigation support applications such as Relativity, CaseMap, and Case Notebook is preferred. Flexibility to travel, work overtime, weekends and holidays.
The working hours for this position are 9:00 am - 5:30 pm. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays is required. After successfully completing the introductory period, the candidate will be eligible to work the department's approved hybrid schedule.
Work is performed in a professional office environment and requires the following:
* Prolonged periods using a sit-to-stand desk and working on a computer.
* Repetitive movements, including typing on a keyboard and using a mouse.
* Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs.
* Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
This is a non-exempt position. The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $48.71 - $61.53, which equates to $95,000 - $120,000 on an annual basis based when working the standard 1,950-hour annual work schedule. The final offer amount is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, education, and other relevant skills and qualifications. Williams & Connolly LLP offers competitive compensation and benefits packages.
