Job description

This is a fully onsite role at our Fairburn Location. 

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager, based in Fairburn, GA.  

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing day-to-day logistics and warehouse operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of customer requirements. This role provides leadership and direction to operational teams, drives performance against key business objectives, and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

The Operations Manager oversees operational performance across areas such as inbound, outbound, inventory, order fulfillment, material flow, and related warehouse activities. The role monitors key performance indicators, analyzes operational results, identifies opportunities for improvement, and implements strategies to increase productivity, reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance customer satisfaction.

This position works closely with customers and cross-functional teams including inventory, transportation, engineering, human resources, and other support functions to resolve operational challenges and ensure seamless execution of business requirements. The Operations Manager is also responsible for developing and coaching leaders and associates, building a high-performing team, and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate is a results-oriented operations leader with strong people-management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills and experience in a fast-paced logistics, distribution, or warehouse environment.

We are currently hirring for the following shifts: 

  • Outbound Weekend 1st Shift, Friday through Sunday from 5:00am to 5:00pm
  • Outbound Weekend 2nd Shift, Friday through Sunday from 5:00pm to 5:00am
  • Inbound Weekend 2nd Shift, Friday through Sunday fronm 5:00pm to 5:00am 
  • Outbound 2nd Shift, Monday through Thursday from 4:30pm to 4:00am
About the Role

How you will contribute

  • Manage the daily activities of a logistics operation to maximize scheduling and delivery of commodities to the customer.
  • Interface with customer to ensure smooth -coordination of scheduling and maximization of schedule adherence; provides input on local conditions, identifies needs and receives direction on real-time staffing increases or decreases.
  • Enact contingency plans as needed; escalate and direct activities during system problems, disasters, etc.; identify potential problems, troubleshoot, escalate issues to local and senior management, and participate in post-mortem analysis of problems providing input for future process improvements.
  • Review ongoing performance results to targets. Take corrective measures with authorization, escalate as needed
  • Responsible for providing effective leadership to the Warehouse Managers and/or team, enforcing company standards, act as a role model.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Progressive experience performing professional level operational and plant management duties; preferably in automotive or logistics industry.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write documents using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management and customer.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
