Fleet Mechanic - Year Round Employment

For nearly 30 years, EarthScapes has been one of Coastal Virginia's premier landscaping companies. Our reputation is built on dependable service, quality workmanship, and a team that takes pride in doing things the right way.
We're looking for an experienced Fleet Mechanic who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and keeping a wide variety of equipment operating safely and efficiently. If you like working on everything from diesel trucks to commercial mowers and trailers, this is a position where your skills truly make an impact every day.
What You'll Do:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, commercial mowers, and small-engine equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine issues
  • Respond to occasional field repairs when equipment breaks down
  • Maintain repair records and preventative maintenance schedules
  • Manage equipment inventory and maintenance history using Asset Tiger
  • Track inspections, registrations, warranties, and service intervals
  • Perform minor shop and facility maintenance as needed
  • Help keep the shop organized, clean, and operating efficiently
  • Train crew leaders on proper equipment inspections and routine maintenance
We're Looking For Someone Who Has:

  • 5+ years of mechanic experience
  • Experience working on gas, diesel, trailers, and commercial landscaping equipment
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
  • A valid Virginia driver's license with a clean driving record
  • ASE Certification (preferred)
  • Virginia State Inspection Certification (a huge plus)
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs and work both indoors and outdoors
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
