This role is perfect for a driven individual with a passion for sales and customer interaction. As a crucial part of our sales team, the chosen candidate will play a significant role in driving our business goals and maintaining our reputation for high-quality floor covering solutions. This is a full-time position based in our dynamic showroom. Please note, this is not a remote job and requires the candidate’s presence on-site.

Palmetto Floor Coverings is Locally owned and Family run. We do not have much turnover. Make money, have fun, learn a unique business in a great retail setting with other great professionals . Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet and engage with customers in the showroom; provide knowledgeable answers to questions about product, pricing and availability.
  • Advise customers on suitable product selections based on their needs and desires, and help them make informed decisions.
  • Work closely with clients to design and plan their flooring projects, ensuring a clear understanding of their expectations and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with installation teams to ensure that the chosen products are available and delivered on time.
  • Handle sales transactions and ensure accurate order entry and follow-up communication with customers.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, new products, and other general information of interest to customers; participate in training and informational sessions as required.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with customers post-installation to gather feedback and assist with any subsequent issues or further needs.
  • Maintain the showroom’s visual standards and cleanliness, ensuring a presentable and professional environment at all times.
  • Participate in seasonal promotions and sales events to maximize revenue.
  • Work collaboratively with other sales associates and support team to drive the store’s performance and achieve sales targets.
Requirements
  • Proven sales experience, preferably in the flooring or related industry.
  • Some design experience, with the ability to help customers visualize their projects through sketches or digital tools.
  • Strong customer service orientation with outstanding communication skills; must be outgoing and capable of effectively engaging and building relationships with customers.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and skilled at juggling multiple tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in sales, marketing, or design is preferred.
  • Technical proficiency with computer systems, email, and office productivity software, with the capacity to learn new applications pertinent to the job.
  • Physical ability to move around the sales floor extensively, lift heavy sample materials occasionally, and other physical activities required in assistance of customer service and sales initiatives.
