Program Manager – Automotive Manufacturing - Plastic Injection Molding

An international automotive manufacturing company with a facility in the Shelby Township, MI area is currently seeking an experienced Program Manager for a Direct Hire opportunity with their growing engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Program Managers or Project Engineers looking for career growth, competitive compensation, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to work on new and existing automotive programs.

Program Manager compensation is anticipated to be based on each candidate’s experience and education. All well-qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate. We offer excellent benefits, including medical, dental, 401(k), paid time off, and additional company benefits.

Qualified Program Managers will have most, if not all, of the following skills and experience:

• 7-10+ years of Program Manager experience with Leading Cross Functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Tooling, Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations to ensure Program Milestones.  

• Experience with Plastic Injection Molded automotive parts including coatings. 

• Experience with managing all phases of program including APQP, PPAP, Program Performance metrics and KPI's

• Experience reporting Status Reports and Presentations. Experience with risk mitigation and contingency plans to minimize delays and cost impacts.   

• BS Degree in Engineering or Business required, Masters Degree preferred

• Strong communication and project coordination skills with the ability to work directly with customers, suppliers, engineering teams, and metrology groups.

• Must be able to work in the United States (no H-1 sponsorship or student visas considered).

• Must be able to complete standard pre-hire checks, including background check, drug screen, references, etc.
