Job description

Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Steel toe shoes required.

Responsibilities:

  • Check work on the computer for the employees (tooling, grinding, machining), using the blueprints, entering work orders.
  • Order tooling that is needed in the organization.
  • Withdraw tools from stocks if necessary and adjust system of quantities.
  • Forward request for tooling and prints to Tool Room for review.
  • Update and distribute Hot Job report on a daily basis.
  • Collect tooling Green Sheets from departments, pull and attach blueprints, then forward sheets to Tool Room for review.
  • Pull and fill blank tooling requisitions for Tool Room.
  • Update and maintain system with cancellations approved by departments.
  • Quote outside vendors.
  • Work closely with purchasing and engineering.
  • Expedite tooling orders in the Tool Room as requested by departments.
  • Complete if necessary, reports and graphs for tracking tool ordering and receipt times.
  • Compare physical item to print of problem tools to ensure that information is correct (i.e. wrong tool numbers, identify tools, etc.).
