AI Agentic/Platform Engineer

Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $170,000.00 depending on experience.

Summary: The AI Platform Lead & Agentic Automation Engineer is responsible for owning and operating an enterprise,
AI-agnostic AI platform while remaining hands-on in the design, development, and support of agent-driven automations and workflows. This role establishes platform standards, architecture, and reliability while building intelligent agents that integrate with enterprise systems and deliver measurable business outcomes. The position bridges platform leadership and deep technical execution to ensure the AI platform remains scalable, secure, and adaptable to evolving technologies and business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and operate an enterprise, AI-agnostic AI platform including architecture, standards, reliability, and lifecycle management to guide and facilitate communication, tool usage and collaborative problem solving.
  • Make recommendations to management as needed to improve capabilities across platforms.
  • Design, develop, and support agentic AI automations and intelligent workflows integrated with enterprise systems.
  • Build advanced RAG pipelines integrating to enhance reasoning accuracy and context retention.
  • Establish platform guardrails for security, governance, scalability, and operational support.
  • Monitor internal guardrails and oversee compliance of third-party vendors.
  • Recommend risk mitigation solutions to management as needed.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to translate workflows into agent-driven automation solutions which meet business requirements.
  • Provide consultative expertise/direction as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, AI/ML) or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a combination of the following:
    • AI/ML engineering, intelligent automation, Enterprise AI platform architecture and lifecycle management
    • Autonomous agents, workflow orchestration, or large-scale distributed systems
    • Agentic AI systems, autonomous agents, and workflow orchestration and deployment
    • Intelligent automation, tool integration, and API‑driven workflows
    • AI‑agnostic design supporting multiple models, vendors, and frameworks
    • Python or equivalent programming for AI and automation development
    • RAG, context management, tool/function calling, and agent evaluation
    • Platform reliability, observability, and operational support
    • Secure integration with enterprise data and systems
