Maintain accurate stock levels, process orders via the eAM system and manual methods, and expedite urgent requests to minimize downtime. Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and suppliers to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and cost effectiveness in support of GE Appliances’ production goals. Your attention to detail and organizational skills help keep our facility running smoothly and safely.## ## PositionTool Crib MRO Buyer## ## LocationUSA, Decatur, AL## How You'll Create Possibilities**JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS:*** Work as an independent contributor to the tool crib operation.* Order crib stock items via the eAM min/max system.* Adjust PO quantity on min/max POs as needed.* Expedite emergency orders for crib stock items on the min/max system.* Manually order items that do not have Blank Purchase Agreements.* Maintain technical knowledge of tool crib operations.* Maintain order reports for manual ordered items.* Update quantity and pricing on manually ordered crib items.* Expedite emergency orders manually ordered crib stock items.* Monitor & communicate issues that arise related to safety/maintenance/production.* Partner with maintenance/engineering/shop floor to determine correct replacement for obsolete parts.* Order and expedite non crib items as needed and maintain the order report.* Use Excel to identify correct description, order quantity, order history and usage history for crib items.* Interface with sourcing and suppliers as needed to ensure orders are approved and delivered in a timely manner.**QUALIFICATIONS:****Minimum:*** Computer skills including Intermediate level use of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).* Prior MRO buying/purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.* Prior experience working with suppliers/vendors.* Good verbal and written communication.* Attention to details with the ability to multitask.**Preferred:*** Working knowledge of eAM (Enterprise Asset Management).* 3 to 5 years of prior MRO buying/purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.* 3 to 5 years of Prior experience working with suppliers/vendors.* Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.* Be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.* Work and communicate with upper management as needed.**PHYSICAL:*** Must be able to perform essential job duties with or without accommodations.* Employees with restrictions must consult with HR & Medical concerning job duties* Must be able to access required areas pertaining to job duties.**EMPLOYEES MUST BE ABLE TO MEET THE BELOW REQUIREMENTS:*** Excessive standing, sitting or walking.* Heavy lifting and climbing**WORKING CONDITIONS:*** Working conditions are normal for both an office and manufacturing environment## What You'll Bring to Our Team* **Why GE Appliances?*** Medical, dental and vision benefits starting day one* Tuition reimbursement and career development* Generous 401k plan with company contributions* Paid vacation, holiday, and personal time* Paid parental leave* On-site cafeteria and credit union* And, so much more## **Our Culture**Our work is centered on our People and Culture as reflected in our Zero Distance philosophy and we recognize the importance of reaffirming our commitment to inclusion and diversity (I&D).
