Position Summary 

The HR Manager supports Tomorrow RNG’s rapidly growing operations by leading core human resources functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and organizational development. This role ensures HR programs, policies, and processes are aligned with TRNG’s operational needs, regulatory requirements, and culture of safety, integrity, and high performance. The HR Manager partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Business Services to support a workforce of 125+ employees across multiple RNG facilities and field locations. 


Key Responsibilities 

• Oversaw onboarding programs ensuring compliance, documentation accuracy, and a consistent employee experience. 

• Administer compensation programs, salary structures, and job leveling. 

• Manage and reconcile payroll in partnership with Finance, ensuring accurate hours, overtime, PTO, per diem, and corrective adjustments. 

• Administer workforce planning, staffing forecasts, and succession planning for critical roles. 

• Direct annual performance review cycles, calibration, and development planning. 

• Lead full-cycle recruiting for technical, operations, engineering, and corporate roles. 

• Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, competencies, and selection criteria. 

• Manage policy creation, updates, and communication, including field-specific requirements (PPE, safety protocols, travel/per diem, training). 

• Served as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and coaching. 

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, ADA, FMLA, EEO, CFR 192-adjacent operational requirements, etc.). 

• Support TRNG’s culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence. 

• Conduct investigations, document findings, and recommend corrective actions. 

• Develop initiatives that strengthen engagement, retention, and cross-department collaboration. 

• Oversee recordkeeping, personnel files, and audit readiness for HR documentation. 

• Support risk mitigation through consistent application of policies and procedures. 

• Identify training needs and coordinate technical, compliance, and leadership development programs. 

• Support managers in coaching, documentation, and performance improvement plans. 

• Partner with Operations and Engineering leadership to align competency frameworks with TRNG’s specialty roles (Process, Chemical, Automation, Electrical). 

• Maintain HRIS data integrity and reporting for headcount, turnover, and workforce metrics. 

• Work closely with Operations, Reliability, Environmental, Safety, and Facility Integrity teams to support field personnel needs. 

• Provide HR guidance during project expansions, staffing changes, and organizational restructuring. 

• Support emergency response coordination from an HR/people standpoint when required. 

• Contribute to strategic initiatives including succession planning, leadership development, and organizational design. 


Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in energy, industrial operations, manufacturing, or field-based environments. 

• Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and HR best practices. 

• Experience supporting multi-site or field-based teams. 

• Experience with payroll processes, reconciliation, and wage/hour compliance. 

• Experience managing employee benefits programs. 

• Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills. 

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 


Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience in renewable energy, natural gas, landfill operations, or related industries. 

• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification. 

• Experience supporting technical teams (engineering, operations, reliability). 

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 


Requirements 

• Up to 30% of travel to field and corporate locations is required.
