  • Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and engineering specifications.
  • Use advanced precision inspection and metrology equipment including optical comparators, surface finish testers/profilometers, height gauges, bore gauges, thread gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Verify microfinish requirements and critical dimensions.
  • Work closely with machinists, programmers, and engineering to identify issues early in production.
  • Document inspection results and maintain quality records and inspection reports.
  • Identify non-conforming material and assist with root cause investigations.
  • Support first article inspections, capability studies, and customer documentation.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years inspection experience in a precision CNC machining environment.
  • Strong experience inspecting tight tolerance machined components.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T.
  • Experience using advanced metrology equipment and precision gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing zero-defect work.
  • Comfortable working directly on the production floor with machinists and engineers.
Preferred Experience
  • FARO arm operation and programming.
  • Experience inspecting parts with microfinish requirements (16 Ra and below).
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems.
  • Background in CNC machining or setup.
What We Offer
