Description

As an Aircraft Cleaner/Toilet Shroud Cleaner, you are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the aircraft fleet, including cleaning aircraft toilet shroud components after they've been disassembled by the airport maintenance team. You'll ensure that both interior surfaces (such as cabins, floors, and windows) and toilet shroud components are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and restored to a safe, hygienic condition. Your role involves working with hazardous cleaning materials and adhering to strict safety and sanitation standards, while also performing general aircraft cleaning duties.

What it's like to work as an aircraft cleaner

  • Clean and maintain airport toilet shrouds: Ensure all toilet shrouds are routinely cleaned, sanitized, and maintained in accordance with established cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Clean, wash, and sanitize aircraft cabins including seats, seat pockets, tray tables, windows, lavatories and overhead compartments
  • Ensure galleys are stocked and organized in accordance with airline standards
  • Vacuum floors and clean carpets using designated equipment
  • Coordinate with team members and other airport staff to meet aircraft cleaning schedules
  • Must be willing to work with tight deadlines

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
