Position Summary:
Facilitates standards alignment. Designs, develops and facilitates professional development aligned with the District Strategic Plan, District Learning Initiatives, and current Career and Technical Education standards and requirements. Develop, compile, and deliver resources to support implementation standards. Provides CTE teachers with support as needed in the areas of assessments, industry certifications, state reporting of CTE data, CTE student organizations, marketing of CTE programs and other CTE initiatives.

Reports to: Director of Career, College, and Professional Learning

Training and Experience:
  • Master's degree
  • Five years of experience teaching in a Business and Applied Program Programs CTE area at Secondary level
  • Instructional leadership (PLC Lead, Department Chair, Academic Coach, TOA)

Licensing/Certification Requirements:
  • Valid Arizona CTE Teaching Certificate with appropriate Subject Areas
  • Valid IVP AZ DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Knowledge of:
  • State standards
  • Professional learning communities
  • Formative assessment
  • Knowledge or experience in facilitating adult learners
  • Knowledge of CTE regulations and functions

Skill In:
  • Articulates curriculum standards.
