  • Approach businesses daily to educate management and employees about insurance options and set appointments.

  • Shift focus to reselling existing accounts and generating referrals after the first year.

Job description

We're expanding our B2B sales team, and we're specifically looking for individuals who are looking to recapture the joy of competition and the synergy of being alongside like-minded people on a championship-caliber team. College-level athletic experience or higher is preferred.

Our environment has been optimized for high-achievers who are competitive, who thrive in results-based environments, and who are looking for like-minded people in an organization that believes in the power of culture.

WE GO BEYOND WHAT YOU'D EXPECT FROM YOUR AVERAGE INSURANCE AGENCY

Northern Stars Financial was built as a family first, and an insurance agency second.

Our primary focus is living out our mission in the way we work and the way we treat clients: we help families and individuals make their tomorrow better by working to help them protect their financial future.

We've built an environment that valuespersonal initiative, integrity, service to others, andteamworkover everything else. In fact, we've noticed that when you get these things right, the bottom-line results take care of themselves.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

Some of our highest-producing salespeople came from a background in high-level athletics, and the same qualities that helped them succeed in sports translate to what it takes to be successful in this role and our culture:

  • Self-Discipline
  • History of Above-Average Performance
  • Internal Drive
  • Competitiveness
  • Personal Accountability
  • Ability to Set Goals, Plan, and Execute
  • Coachability
  • Loves to be Challenged
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Outside B2B sales, focusing primarily on new client acquisition and growing your book of business.
  • We train how to approach 25+ businesses a day to educate and protect management and employees.
  • By the end of your first year, you will begin to shift your focus to resitting existing business accounts and referral-based business.
  • We provide a customized SalesForce CRM to organize and simplify prospecting and follow-up activities.
  • We provide classroom and in-the-field training with our top performers. We will help you quickly become an expert at setting up enrollments with small to medium-sized businesses as well as self-employed business owners.
  • Within your first 30 days, our training process will help you become proficient at setting appointments and enrollments, following up, closing sales, and generating referrals.
ADDITIONAL HIGHLIGHTS OF WORKING WITH NORTHERN STARS FINANCIAL
  • Unlimited Commission Earnings. The better you perform, the more you earn. While there are no guarantees, our average rookie agent makes just over $80,000 in first-year commissions, and 1 out of 4 rookies earn over $100,000 in their first year.
  • Lifetime-Vested Renewal Commissions. You will get paid renewal commissions on your entire book of business for as long as your clients retain their insurance policies. Once you've been with us for 2 years, you will continue to get paid those commissions after you've left the career.
  • Leadership Promotions Based on Performance. From training new agents, to leading local sales teams, or overseeing regional or national sales teams, all promotions are objective and based purely on performance, not time or tenure.
  • Robust Training. You'll receive initial classroom training on fundamentals, followed by in-the-field training where you're shadowing/being shadowed by top producers, and ongoing weekly training covering advanced sales topics.
  • Regular Business Reviews and Goal Setting, including 1:1 coaching each week
  • 2-3 Incentive Trips per year, both domestically and internationally
