Shifts ($21.85/Hour):

2nd Shift – 3:45pm to 2:00am   M-Th    ($21.85 to $22.43 includes the 15% shift differential)

Essential Functions:

This position is responsible for the following tasks, duties, and responsibilities:

  • Pack product or parts into shipping cartons according to the operating instruction.
  • Follow all order specifications with attention to small detail including adhering a label on a specific location of the carton, using the appropriate carton and/or poly liner for packaging as required, ensuring that the product is facing the correct direction inside the carton, sealing the carton using a designated method, etc.
  • Stack pallets properly while using the proper size skids for carton stacking.
  • Perform visual and dimensional quality inspections with various hand measurement tools.
  • Identify basic quality issues and make accept/reject decisions based upon the Boundary Board and Quality Standard.
  • Use basic to average trouble shooting skills and gain job knowledge and experience to identify and communicate basic problems when forming parts. This includes recognizing a variety of forming conditions such as webbing, cold roll, etc.
  • Diligently completes required paperwork or packing slips to maintain accurate product counts.
  • Completes all paperwork and packing slips with minimal assistance and errors.
  • Learn to run certain lines and operate with or without assistance.
  • Follow good housekeeping practices by keeping work areas and common areas clean.
  • Identify and report any unsafe work conditions, behaviors, or incidents.
  • Follow and adhere to all safety procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by the lead, supervisor, or manager.

Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak basic English. This is essential for understanding printed work instructions, labels and quality sheets and communicates effectively with fellow workers and fully understand job information.
  • Must possess basic mathematic skills including counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in order to maintain and record reliable finished part totals.
  • Ability to read and interpret weight measurements on a scale as well as dimension measurements using fractions, decimals, or metric increments.
  • Must possess strong reasoning ability and actively engage in critical thinking while monitoring the production lines in order to communicate machine and quality concerns to others and call for assistance when needed.
  • Must be willing to take direct orders from the leadership team (including leads, supervisors, managers, etc.)
  • Must be able to cooperate with other co-workers and successfully navigate training in order to accurately perform all job responsibilities.

  • Work will be performed in a well-lit manufacturing environment which may include regular exposure to flying dust and debris; the smell of burnt plastic; high decibel equipment and loud noises; and extreme temperatures ranging from subzero up to 110 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment consistently and correctly. This may include wearing safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, respiratory masks, other safety equipment as designated, and adhering to the safety dress code.
  • The manufacturing environment is fast-moving and may require the mobility to bend, stoop, lift, carry, lift above shoulders, push, pull, walk, and stand throughout the duration of the shift.
  • Visual acuity, manual dexterity, and hand function are required to inspect and handle product.
  • Must be able to lift 43 pounds 60 times per 8 hours shift and must be able to lift as much as 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Must be able to safely climb short ladders while carrying these weights.
