From the joy of new puppy/kitten visits to the sorrow of end-of-life care, our doctors proudly serve the pets of Dyersburg and the surrounding area, bringing their vast experience to every case they treat. Our doctors are supported by a wonderful staff who are equally as experienced and compassionate.

Our 4-doctor practice is hiring an additional doctor in anticipation of a retirement later this year. We're trying to get a head start on this transition, so we're offering a Sign-On Bonus of $75,000 to get another doctor in here as soon as possible!
Whether you're an experienced doctor or just starting your career, our practice will encourage you to pursue your passions in veterinary medicine! Our building is outfitted with all the equipment you'll need including 4 exam rooms, inhouse labs and a large surgery suite. We also encourage work with our local animal shelter, so you will get lots of soft tissue surgery experience And if mentorship is on your list, we're glad to share our knowledge and provide strong guidance to all!

Essential Responsibilities
  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients' medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications
  • DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
