- Interview, recruit, train, schedule, coach and support Housekeeping and Engineering associates in accordance with brand standards and TKo core values.
- Conduct daily inspections of guestrooms with the Housekeeping Supervisor and inspect public areas, back-of-house, exterior grounds and guest amenities to ensure exceptional quality and cleanliness.
- Maintain high cleanliness standards in guestrooms, meeting space, public areas and employee areas while ensuring a guest-ready hotel at all times.
- Provide daily leadership and oversight of the Engineering Department, ensuring maintenance technicians complete guest requests, preventive maintenance and repairs in a timely manner.
- Oversee Hyatt BOB by assigning, monitoring and closing maintenance work orders and RMIs, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up.
- Ensure Hyatt preventive maintenance schedules are completed for guestrooms, public spaces, mechanical systems and life safety equipment.
- Monitor out-of-order rooms and coordinate with Front Office and Engineering to minimize room downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all required life safety inspections, OSHA, MSDS, fire and safety regulations and lead or participate in the hotel's Safety Committee.
- Coordinate vendors and contractors and verify work is completed to Hyatt and TKo standards.
- Serve as the hotel's Sustainability Champion by maintaining EcoTrack, monitoring environmental metrics and leading sustainability initiatives.
- Monitor departmental inventories, supplies and operating expenses while assisting the General Manager with budgeting, capital planning and repair prioritization.
- Review guest satisfaction scores, identify trends and implement action plans to improve cleanliness, maintenance and overall guest satisfaction.
- Conduct timely performance evaluations, provide coaching, address disciplinary matters and implement ongoing training programs.
- Participate in the Manager on Duty program and perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field preferred.
- Minimum two years of leadership experience in hotel operations, housekeeping, engineering or a related department.
- Working knowledge of hotel preventive maintenance, life safety systems and building operations preferred.
- Experience with Hyatt BOB, EcoTrack or similar hotel systems preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, project management and communication skills.
- Ability to inspect rooms daily, walk the property extensively and maintain a highly visible operational presence.
- Excellent guest service skills with the ability to resolve issues professionally.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as business demands require.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds and frequent movement throughout the hotel.
