Job description

The Opportunity

As the Manager of Sales of our Lender Segment, you will be the driving force behind our revenue growth within a critical and dynamic market: banks, credit unions, and mortgage companies. We are seeking a highly motivated, producing sales leader who is ready to combine their basic knowledge of the lending industry with a passion for team development. In this high-impact role, you will not only cultivate your own successful book of business, but you will also set the overarching strategic vision for our entire lender vertical.

Your impact will be both immediate and far-reaching. Acting as a consultative partner, you will expertly balance your personal sales production with the responsibility of building, coaching, and mentoring a dedicated team of sales representatives. Beyond direct sales and leadership, you will take true ownership of the segment's future—analyzing market trends, defining our sales strategy, and actively developing specialized products tailored to meet the unique, evolving needs of our lender clients.

We built this position for an ambitious professional who thrives on balancing individual achievement with broader strategic leadership. If you possess exceptional consultative selling skills, a deep understanding of the lending landscape, and a desire to shape the future of our business within a deeply established, supportive organization, you will find a highly rewarding, long-term home with us.

Why Join Land Title?

At Land Title, we believe our most precious resource is our people. We take a holistic approach to caring for our team, ensuring you have the support you need to thrive. Here is what you can look forward to when you join us:

  • Incredible Culture – Step into an environment where everything we do is deeply grounded in our core values of Excellence, Efficacy, Responsibility, Altruism, and Honesty.
  • Meaningful Work – Elevate your daily impact by surrounding yourself with passionate professionals. You will collaborate with industry experts who know Colorado real estate laws, customs, and markets inside and out.
  • Professional Growth – We are committed to your future. We actively invest in your training and development, providing a variety of avenues for you to continuously grow and expand your professional skills.
  • Personal Wellness – We encourage you to live your best life. We champion true work-life balance and provide robust support and resources through our Employee Assistance Program to ensure your overall well-being.
  • Opportunities to Serve – Be part of a company that gives back. Our leadership starts at the top—our executive team regularly donates their time to professional and civic organizations that promote and support the communities in which we live and work.
What You’ll Do

As a Manager of Sales, you will balance your own book of business with strategic leadership, team development, and product innovation. Your day-to-day responsibilities are divided across four critical areas:

Lender Segment Strategy & Product Development (30%)

  • Execute Segment Strategy: Define and drive the go-to-market strategy, including target account planning, vertical segmentation, and territory design.
  • Drive Product Innovation: Partner with operations and marketing to identify gaps and develop new products, service models, and pricing structures tailored to lenders.
  • Gather Market Intelligence: Monitor the lending landscape—including regulatory changes, rate environments, and origination trends—to inform actionable sales and product priorities.
  • Define Competitive Positioning: Build compelling value propositions, talk tracks, and competitive messaging that strongly resonates with lender decision-makers.
  • Guide Pricing & Packaging: Recommend pricing strategies and bundled offerings that successfully win and retain accounts while protecting margins.

Team Leadership & Development (40%)

  • Coach & Train: Lead and develop a dedicated team of sales representatives, training them on lender-specific prospecting, relationship building, and consultative closing.
  • Allocate Opportunities: Distribute sales opportunities across the team based on expertise and territory, prioritizing team member growth over personal commission maximization.
  • Manage Performance: Monitor team metrics, conduct monthly one-on-ones, provide constructive feedback, and guide performance improvement plans.
  • Recruit & Onboard: Lead the hiring and onboarding of new sales team members to ensure smooth integration and a rapid ramp to productivity.
  • Track Analytics & Reporting: Use HubSpot and PowerBI to monitor pipelines and performance metrics, providing executive leadership with updates on trends and team progress.

Personal Sales Production (20%)

  • Manage High-Value Accounts: Strategically expand a personal book of business, serving as the primary contact for key bank, credit union, and mortgage company relationships.
  • Develop New Business: Prospect and pursue new lender opportunities ("Spotlights"), personally leading the consultative sales process for highly strategic targets.
  • Retain & Expand Customers: Execute strategies to maximize client lifetime value, drive expanded product adoption, and generate repeat business across lender branch networks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration (10%)

  • Champion a Team Mindset: Support peer segment managers and the broader sales organization by sharing best practices, resources, and market intelligence.
  • Serve as the Voice of the Customer: Channel vital field feedback from clients to our product, operations, and leadership teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide Strategic Input: Contribute to broader regional sales strategies, market analyses, and competitive positioning from a lender-segment perspective.
What You Bring

To be successful in this role, you will bring a mix of basic lending industry knowledge, strategic vision, and a genuine passion for developing others. We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Empathetic Leadership: A coaching mentality with the proven ability to inspire and develop a team. You model accountability and sales excellence, prioritizing your team's success and ensuring fair, transparent opportunity allocation.
  • Lender Expertise: A strong background in building high-value relationships with bank, credit union, and mortgage company decision-makers. You bring a working knowledge of the mortgage origination lifecycle and proven consultative selling skills tailored to longer sales cycles and strategic account expansion.
  • Strategic Product Vision: The ability to evaluate existing offerings against lender needs and partner seamlessly with operations and underwriting to shape new solutions. You excel at translating market feedback into clear, prioritized product and pricing recommendations.
  • Technical & Analytical Proficiency: Comfort using data to drive decisions. You are proficient in CRM software (HubSpot), data visualization tools (Power BI), and the Google productivity suite, with a strong ability to translate raw data into actionable insights.
  • Professional Maturity & Resilience: High emotional intelligence to balance competing priorities across your own production, team management, and product development. You bring unwavering integrity, a highly collaborative mindset, and the resilience to adapt quickly to regulatory shifts and changing rate environments.
Your Education & Experience

We believe there are specific educational backgrounds and professional experiences necessary to be successful in this position.

Necessary:

  • Minimum 5–7 years of business development experience, with significant time selling into or working within the lender vertical (banks, credit unions, mortgage companies).
  • Demonstrated success in both individual sales production and team leadership.
  • Proven track record of managing territory growth, customer retention, and new business development within the lender segment.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency across essential platforms like HubSpot CRM, Power BI, and Google Workspace, paired with the agility to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
  • A Colorado Title Insurance License will be required as a condition of employment within 90 days of employment with Land Title.
Why You’ll Love It Here

We don't just offer jobs; we offer stable, rewarding careers. To support you both inside and outside the office, Land Title provides:

  • Competitive Pay: We offer an annual base salary range from $60,000 to $100,000 + commission and annual year-end incentives. (Please note: Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience and expertise.) As allowable under Colorado State Law, this position is exempt from overtime.
  • Total Wellness: Enjoy top-tier medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus the ultimate convenience of 24/7 Teledoc services.
  • Long-Term Security: Build your wealth with Traditional and Roth 401(k) retirement options—complete with a company match. We also provide life insurance and both short-term and long-term disability for your peace of mind.
  • Time to Recharge: Rest and recharge with a generous time-off package that includes vacation and sick time, and 10 paid holidays.
  • Career Advancement: We invest in your continuous evolution through dedicated training opportunities and an Education Assistance program.
  • Beyond the Office: Access confidential, professional support through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and enjoy unique industry perks like title and closing reimbursement discounts for your own real estate milestones.
