Title Clerk – Herndon, VA (20170‑529)

Pay: $20–$21/hr | Schedule: M–F, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | Fully Onsite

Position Overview

The Title Clerk supports the credit union’s loan operations by ensuring accurate, timely titling of all vehicle securities—both in‑state and out‑of‑state. This role is essential to maintaining compliance, supporting members, and keeping internal processes running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Title Documentation — Assemble all required documents for proper titling of vehicle loan securities; maintain the national title manual to ensure accurate conveyance.
  • Rotational Processing — Support adjudication of insurance and title reports, process payoffs/title releases, sort mail, and respond to Synapsys events, eBanking messages, and emails.
  • Missing Title Administration — Manage the 90‑day indirect missing title report in Accelerant; contact members, dealers, and prior financial institutions; file required documentation with the DMV.
  • Policy Maintenance — Maintain and update department policy and procedure documentation.
  • Administrative Support — Pull documents, process paperwork, and complete general administrative tasks as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
  • Experience with administrative processing, paperwork management, or financial services preferred
  • Clear, professional communication skills
  • Comfort working fully onsite in a structured environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfax, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
