What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a software engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Software Engineer, you need strong programming skills, problem-solving abilities, and a relevant degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with languages like Python, Java, or C++, along with experience using development tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and potentially certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, are typically expected. Software engineers working on large-scale distributed systems often encounter challenges such as ensuring system reliability, handling network latency, and managing data consistency across multiple nodes.
