The Howmet structures business manufactures metallurgically advanced lightweight multi-material solutions that range from titanium mill products to titanium forgings, extrusions and assembled systems for aerospace and defense applications.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field. 

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales, account management, or business development experience within manufacturing, metals, aerospace, or industrial markets. 

  • Experience within the titanium, specialty metals, or commodity metals industry preferred. 

  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success managing strategic customer relationships. 

  • Proven negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced and changing market environments. 

  • Ability to develop productive business relationships that support long-term growth and profitability. 

  • Comfortable interacting with senior leadership and decision-makers within large organizations. 

  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and project management skills. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/business systems. 

  • Ability to travel as required to support customer and business needs.

The Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing strategic customer relationships while driving revenue growth across the Ti-Mill segment of Howmet Aerospace. This role will support commodity-oriented titanium products and related value-added solutions within the aerospace, defense and industrial markets.

The Account Manager will work closely with internal commercial, operations, quality, and supply chain teams to develop and execute customer growth strategies aligned with the Ti-Mill segment's strategic objectives.

This position is remote and preferably located on the West Coast to support proximity to key customers and business activity within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with Ti-Mill business objectives, revenue targets, and market growth initiatives. 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, including purchasing, supply chain, operations, and executive leadership teams. 

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts, adjacent markets, and underserved geographic regions. 

  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams including operations, quality, inside sales, planning, and supply chain to ensure alignment with customer requirements and expectations. 

  • Drive commercial growth across commodity titanium products while supporting opportunities for value-added services and differentiated solutions. 

  • Prepare and maintain sales forecasts, market intelligence, customer activity reports, and opportunity pipelines. 

  • Provide timely communication regarding customer developments, risks, opportunities, and corrective action plans. 

  • Conduct regular customer visits and maintain consistent communication through in-person meetings, phone calls, and virtual platforms. 

  • Expected travel is 30-50% depending on customer and business needs.

  • Support contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and long-term commercial agreements. 

  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer demand signals to support business planning and commercial strategy. 

  • Represent Howmet Aerospace in a professional manner while strengthening long-term customer partnerships.
