CNC Machinist
Location: Fairfield, NJ
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
TiFab is seeking skilled CNC Machinists who can program, set up, and operate both horizontal and vertical lathes and milling machines used to manufacture titanium and nickel alloy components. In this role, you'll take parts from start to finish with precision, contributing directly to production flow in a high-accuracy, tight-tolerance environment. This is an excellent opportunity for machinists who take pride in craftsmanship, problem solving, and producing high-quality components in a fast-paced shop.
What You'll Do
• Program, set up, and operate CNC horizontal and vertical lathes and mills
• Edit CNC programs as needed to meet production and tolerance requirements
• Perform dimensional inspections using standard measurement tools
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and production documentation
• Deburr and clean machined parts prior to inspection
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Perform basic preventative maintenance, including fluid and filter checks
• Complete all production and quality documentation accurately
• Collaborate with production teams, communicating issues or improvement opportunities
MUST HAVE
• 3+ years of CNC machining experience
• Ability to program and set up CNC equipment
• Experience with Fanuc controls (majority of shop equipment)
• Proven ability to hold tight tolerances (+/- .001 to .002)
• Ability to machine titanium and nickel alloys, or willingness to learn
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or GED (technical school a plus)
NICE TO HAVE
• Manual machining experience
• Experience with Tasnuk controls
• Background in aerospace or defense machining environments
• Experience machining exotic alloys
• Process improvement or optimization experience

Additional Details
• Salary Range: $28 - $36 per hour
• Shift: Mon-Thurs (6:30 AM - 3:30 PM), Fri (6-hour shift)
