About Merakris Therapeutics
Merakris Therapeutics is a regenerative medicine company focused on advancing patient care through innovative human tissue and amniotic tissue technologies. We are expanding our national commercial footprint and seeking experienced independent medical sales representatives with established relationships in ophthalmology, optometry, wound care, general surgery and the Department of Veterans Affairs healthcare system.
We are seeking representatives with experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Ophthalmology and optometry
  • Cornea, dry eye, and ocular surface disease
  • Wound care and advanced wound management
  • General Surgery
  • Veterans Affairs medical centers and federal healthcare accounts
  • Amniotic tissue, biologics, medical devices, or regenerative medicine

Product opportunities will be aligned with each representative's experience, relationships, and territory.
This is strictly an independent contractor position; no salary, draw, or employee benefits.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage relationships with physicians, clinical staff, administrators, and purchasing stakeholders.
  • Introduce Merakris products to qualified healthcare accounts.
  • Educate customers on product applications, clinical benefits, ordering processes, and available reimbursement support.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within an assigned or established territory.
  • Drive product adoption, repeat utilization, and account growth.
  • Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with prospective and existing customers.
  • Collaborate with Merakris leadership and internal support teams.
  • Provide market intelligence, competitive information, and customer feedback.
  • Conduct business in accordance with applicable company policies and healthcare compliance requirements.

Candidate profile and Call Points
  • Previous success as a 1099 independent medical sales representative is strongly preferred.
  • Existing relationships in ophthalmology, optometry, wound care, general surgery or Veterans Affairs accounts are highly preferred.
  • Experience selling medical devices, biologics, pharmaceuticals, human tissue products, ophthalmic products, or wound care products is preferred.
  • Established physician, practice, hospital, distributor, or VA relationships within an active territory.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and grow existing accounts.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working independently.
  • Ability to manage territory activities and maintain appropriate sales documentation.
