Job description

Surgical technologists assist surgeons during surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, setting up equipment, and providing necessary supplies. They ensure a sterile environment and maintain patient safety throughout the operation.
Responsibilities:
  • Count sponges, needles, and other surgical materials
  • Help transport patients to and from the operating room
  • Assist with post-operative care, such as dressing changes and wound monitoring
  • Document procedures and maintain accurate records
  • Prepare the operating room and set up sterile equipment
  • Assist surgeons by passing instruments, retracting tissue, and providing supplies
  • Maintain a sterile field and monitor infection control measures
