Medical Technologist | Histology
MLee Healthcare is seeking a qualified Medical Technologist - Histology to join a dynamic team at an established hospital in Ball Ground, GA metroplex. Performing preparation of routine gross tissue specimens for microscopic examination by pathologist, including surgical, autopsy, research and outside cases.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate instrumentation for tissue dehydration, section clearing, impregnation with paraffin, cutting tissue sections, and staining of slides
  • Prepare solutions, stains, and reagents in accordance with standards written procedures
  • Operate and maintain all histology area lab equipment in proper state of readiness, cleanliness, and sharpens and hone microtome knives
Requirements:
  • National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS)
  • Bachelors or Associate Degree
  • ASCP or AMT
  • BLS
