Tire Techs, or Tire Technicians, are professionals who specialize in the installation, maintenance, and repair of tires on vehicles such as cars, trucks, and sometimes larger commercial vehicles. Their responsibilities commonly include mounting and balancing tires, repairing punctures, rotating tires, and inspecting tread depths to ensure safety and performance. Tire Techs often work at automotive service shops, tire specialty stores, or dealerships, and play a vital role in keeping vehicles safe and roadworthy. They may also advise customers on tire care and recommend when replacements are necessary.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a tire tech?

To thrive as a Tire Tech, you need hands-on mechanical aptitude, basic automotive knowledge, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
