Job description

A CLOSER LOOK UNDER THE HOOD
Our Tire Techs are truly at the core of our business! Below are the primary responsibilities to help you get a feel for a "day in the life."
  • Remove and install commercial tires and wheels in the facility and road-side
  • On-Call Roadside assistance to perform these type of repairs / replacement of tires
  • Driving repair station vehicle (truck) to customers in need of road-side repairs
  • Delivery of Tires (local) to customers
  • Perform maintenance on tires, to include tire rotations, balancing, tire pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and repairs.
  • Operate Forklift, other MHE, along with various types of equipment
  • Complete work orders and related paperwork timely and correctly.
  • Maintain, organize and clean shop and equipment, which includes stocking tires and organizing the tire rooms
  • Participate in training, follow safety procedures, job duties and company policies
  • Provide customers and other co-workers with helpful, friendly and responsive customer service.
  • Additional duties including working in the Distribution Center as assigned.

THE "NUTS AND BOLTS" NECESSARY FOR SUCCESS
Prior automotive experience is not required for this position, but below are some of the other traits and qualifications we seek:
  • General mechanical skills and/or experience is a plus
  • Ability to be trained to operate machines and equipment used in the automotive mechanical trade
  • Maintain Best Safety Practices while driving and performing various work.
  • DOT Compliance is followed at all times
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to consistently follow store and warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform all tasks accurately and in a safe manner.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Desire and ability to work in a team environment
