As we move into a growth phase, we’re seeking Part-Time Back of the House & Prep Team Members to join us at our Austin site. As a Back of House/Prep Team Member, you’ll be the backbone of kitchen operations. You will ensure ingredient preparation, station setup, cooking support, and cleanup are executed with precision and speed. Job Responsibilities:

  • Ingredient preparation
  • Prepare produce, proteins, and starches daily
  • Portion sauces, garnishes, and toppings according to standardized recipes
  • Execute service at a cooking station
  • Assist line cooks with basic cooking tasks and station maintenance
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to uphold quality standards
  • Station setup & maintenance
  • Restock supplies and ingredients before and during service
  • Sanitize work surfaces, utensils, and equipment between prep shifts
  • Quality assurance
  • Inspect incoming deliveries and report any discrepancies
  • Adhere strictly to food safety guidelines (FIFO, temperature logs, proper storage)
  • Cleanup & sanitation
  • Wash dishes, pans, and cooking tools using industrial dishwashers or by hand
  • Sweep, mop, and take out trash to maintain a spotless kitchen environment
  • Team collaboration
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff regarding order priorities and timing
  • Assist wherever needed to keep service flowing smoothly

Job Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Strong knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work quickly under pressure and maintain composure during peak hours
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Food Handler’s certification or willingness to obtain one immediately
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
